St John's Hospice Charity Challenge

Epixx Team

50-50-500 Charity Challenge

Epixx Systems are proud to be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peak Challenge in support of St John’s Hospice 50-50-500 business challenge. The Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge covers a total distance of 24 miles and includes three of the highest peaks in Yorkshire. Pen-y-Ghent, Whernside, and Ingleborough.

We have 50 days to raise a minimum of £500 for St John’s Hospice. St John’s Hospice is a local charity which provides free palliative care to patients with life shortening conditions. Their services cover a population area of 250,000 people in North Lancashire, South Lakes and parts of North Yorkshire.

70% of their funding comes from donations provided by the public!

Fundraising

When we originally heard about this charity challenge we knew we had to sign up. The hospice is a local charity that has a massive impact on the community and the families who need their support. We wanted to do something challenging both mentally and physically. As well as local to the business and the community we work in. Which is why the Yorkshire three peaks was the perfect choice. Allowing us to work, prepare and challenge ourselves in the heart of the Lake District.

The whole team will be doing Pen-y-ghent 694 metres – 2,276 feet, Whernside 736 metres – 2,415 feet and Ingleborough 723 metres 2,372 feet. 24 miles in 12 hours on Friday the 23rd of June 2023! We’re really looking forward to the challenge whilst raising money for this worthy cause.
