Quite Simply French

The Brief

Epixx Systems were tasked with the lighting design at Quite Simply French. To enhance the original features of the building to compliment the work we completed in the restaurant. We developed a similar lighting scheme to highlight the features, while creating dramatic backdrops to the decor.

The AV system needed to be simple, but upgraded with the latest technology. Whilst delivering control of the lighting to allow guests to dim the lighting in their room.

Since there is no reception on site, we designed a door entry system to enable guests to come and go as they please.

Lastly, WiFi coverage throughout the property would be essential, facilitated by a robust infrastructure.

Our solution

We designed the lighting system using a Lutron dimming system. This system gave us the flexibility to create scenes of light in the spaces that can be manipulated by the end user. Using the lighting keypads on the walls.

The door access control uses a 2N access control system to control access to the rooms. This system was running on one of the tills in the restaurant on the ground floor. Enabling staff to check in guests and issue user codes from the POS computer on the ground floor.

Additionally, the AV we used a combination of LG TVs and Yamaha sound bars with bluetooth. Allowing the guests to play their own music in the hotel rooms.

Finally, we used a similar lighting configuration to the  restaurant, allowing us to continue the modern theme of linear LED strips.
