A bespoke home cinema room in the basement of a new build lake district property, complete with 4K projection and Dolby Atmos surround sound.
We were contracted with converting an empty room into an ultimate home cinema where the client could escape to watch football & movies in the basement of a lake district new build home.
The house was modern design and required minimal visual impact from speakers for the surround sound system. It was requested that a “star-scape” ceiling could be used on the ceiling to allow for a twinkling star-scape above the screen when watching movies.
Back to back with the proposed home cinema was the comms room, the room was large and could easily accommodate a boxing to house the equipment for the starscape ceiling and the projector at high level, We then projected through a hole in the wall, to reduce the visual impact of having a projector on the ceiling.
Invisible speakers from Sonance Speakers were used for the rear surround speakers and wallpapered over to keep with the sleek modern design and give the desired surround sound effect.
The front wall was built out with bespoke cabinetry to house all the front speakers behind the acoustically transparent screen.
