A full-featured smart home in the heart of the Lake District, featuring multi-room AV, smart lighting and security systems.
We were contracted to undertake a full system smart home renovation design, including lighting, security and AV, for a new build barn conversion in the Lake District, we then installed the designed systems along with managing the electrical package for the project.
The client desired architectural speakers in 5 rooms in the house and the outside patio, a home cinema and a lighting control system though-out the property, alongside WiFi coverage everywhere and intercom panels to various locations to take calls from the gate intercom.
We opted to install ceiling speakers to the main rooms to keep the walls and ceiling free of clutter, these were wired back to the comms room where we installed the central equipment rack. We used Sonos Amplifiers to power them and the speaker array on the patio.
We used Rako for the smart lighting control throughout the home, due to its flexibility and ability to dim large amounts of LED tape. This also allowed us to set up buttons within the house to toggle outside lighting scenes for the landscape lighting scheme.
For Security we used a combination of Dahua CCTV cameras and Texecom Premier Elite for the alarm system. Creating a high tech, luxury smart home renovation.
