TV when it’s on, art when it’s off. The Samsung art TV frame delivers uncompromising picture quality and unrivalled aesthetics when the TV is in standby.
Originally released in 2017, The Frame was brought to market with a single goal. To make the TV look like a piece of artwork on the wall when it’s not being used as a TV. Utilising recent enhancements in LED technology it uses very little power to keep an image on the screen during times when the screen isn’t being watched.
Using a motion and light sensor built into the panel, it knows when you’re in the room and displays a wide range of user-defined artwork when the TV’s not in use.
Coupled with this are customisable frame colours and wood types to ensure The Frame fits in with any home’s decor.
Using similar technology to the Samsung Art TV, Samsung’s range of QLED TV’s with ambient mode allow the TV to blend into its surroundings by displaying the same colour, texture or pattern of the wall behind it.
This effect is achieved by taking a photo of the wall prior to installation then uploading it to the TV using Samsung’s Smart Things app for IOS and Android.
Ranging in sizes from 43 inch all the way up to a mammoth 88 inches, The QLED range offers screen sizes for even the largest multi-function media rooms.
Using Samsung’s OneConnect system, all the sockets that you would normally find of the back of the screen are now centralised to a box that would generally sit in a TV unit under the TV, due to this, professional installation is required to hide all the cables and ensure the OneConnect lead that runs up to the screen is hidden within the wall.
