We love technology. And problem-solving. That’s what drove Matt (Holmes) and Ben (Tomlinson), our founders, to set up Epixx. Time-served electricians, they spotted no-one else was integrating technology like they knew they could, and now the business has grown to 8 employees. But you’ll still get Matt or Ben personally overseeing your project. Our extensive experience, gained across a huge range of installations, has given us a tried and tested way and approach to make sure whatever we’re creating will be just right. Our main focus is to design a system that is right for you and your lifestyle, not over specified, not under specified but always simple to use.
With a bewildering choice of smart home technology available, our specialist knowledge will prove invaluable. Whether it’s a stand alone security system or automated gate, to a fully connected smart home with a dedicated cinema room, we’ll find the most suitable combination from the entire spectrum of audio, visual, lighting, security and environmental systems the industry has to offer.
The Epixx difference is, we’ll seamlessly integrate the technology so the overall solution’s greater than the sum of its parts, with simple control via a custom app or intuitive interface. Every home, every business is unique – that’s why we don’t do ‘off-the-shelf’. Instead, we spend time understanding what you want before designing a system tailored to you, your situation and your budget.
One of our major USP’s is our ability to offer full solutions for our clients, a turnkey service right from initial designs and renders, to installation, handover and training…without the use of subcontractors. Making us an in house solution for all the technology needs of a new project.
One point of contact at the end of your project for any upgrades, maintenance, repairs, alterations etc, is a much simpler, quicker and more reliable system for all parties. We remain completely supplier and brand agnostic, meaning we aren’t tied down to certain distributors etc and forced to sell/specify their equipment.
Cutting edge technology, with fully integrated smart systems, is one of the most desirable features of any modern home – and adds real sales appeal for some of the developers we work alongside. Whether you are building your one off dream home, or you are developing a multi-dwelling site, we offer a comprehensive service to help you get it right the first time.
We have a dedicated office & meeting room displaying some of the latest products to aid your design and build which will ultimately make your process quicker and easier. We also have access to a number of other showrooms and demonstration facilities around the UK if you require some extra inspiration.
Architects and designers have called on our expertise at the planning stage across a huge range of projects over the years, to ensure the technology is incorporated as seamlessly as possible. Working on projects together from a very early stage often ensures the best possible outcome for the client, architect/designer and us as the integrator.
We work in unison with you to design and deliver the very best solution for your client. Whether you require a CAD design from the ground up, or just guidance on equipment and locations within a project, we will always be on hand to help.
Are you increasingly being asked about smart home technology by your clients and struggling to answer the questions? We deliver RIBA, BIID and RIAI Accredited CPD’s which will further your understanding, so you can talk intelligently with the client and the other members of the design team. It will show you what is possible, describe some alternatives and explain how to incorporate the various systems without detracting from your design.
You’ll have a good grasp of modern best practice for low-voltage systems in the home, and feel more confident specifying these systems. As you know, a variety of new regulations and standards, and the range of services required, means that specifying the ‘electronic plumbing’ in a home has become more difficult. Some years ago, a telephone point in the hall and a TV socket in the living room was about all people expected. Central heating was new to many, and two-way switching for the stair lighting was seen as a nice touch. How times have changed! The CPD will help build your vocabulary and you should discover some simple tips to help you get it right. Most importantly you’ll know who to ask if you need help in a particular area.
Hotels, Bars and restaurants today are filled with intelligent technologies and the experience of today has changed from what it was 10 years ago. Customers as a minimum expect not only a smiling face, but fast & secure wi-fi, music and mood lighting and a comfortable climate. Today it shouldn’t be the responsibility of the staff to control the technologies, it should all be automated – allowing the staff to concentrate on their own individual roles.
We work in unison with owners & managers to deliver the very best integrated technology systems that manage themselves. If you are starting a new hospitality project, or a refurbishment, we can help design the technology systems to give your clients a superior experience, whilst maintaining an energy efficient, cost effect solution for you, the owner.

Firstly, we need to find out what you’re looking to achieve. So we’ll visit your property and discuss what you want, and where, before creating an initial proposal with outline costs.
After agreeing solution and budget, we’ll submit a final proposal with detailed costs and full specification. We’ll personally oversee the entire installation, with as much preparation as possible done off-site to minimise disruption.
Once the project’s complete, we’ll still be on-hand to give you any technical support you need, or upgrade your system if you wish.
